The pace is picking up on A-OSH EXPO 2016 stand bookings. With still seven months to go until the doors open between 24 and 26 May 2016 at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg, exhibitors are clearly demonstrating their confidence in the exhibition.
The overall annual rate of occupational fatal and non-fatal accidents is estimated at R270 million. In addition, 160 million workers suffer from work-related diseases with two-thirds causing a loss of four or more working days. The economic impact of this (including compensation, training costs, medical expenses, loss of working days) equals approximately 4% of GNP.
“You can be part of the change that nips these problems in the bud, simply by booking a stand at Africa’s leading occupational safety, health and environmental (SHE) exhibition – A-OSH EXPO 2016. We can report that 54% of total stand space has already been allocated and we therefore encourage potential exhibitors to contact the sales team without delay to ensure they don’t miss out on this unparalleled opportunity to interact with the leading professionals in the SHE sectors,” says Joshua Low, A-OSH EXPO Event Director at Specialised Exhibitions.
“The feedback we received from the 2015 exhibitors was extremely positive, with many companies not only making contact with potential customers, but also signing deals at the event. Visitors were complimentary about the array of products and services available and many will be returning in 2016 to source their SHE requirements. If the increase of 28% in visitors at the 2015 exhibition is any indication of the probable visitor attendance in 2016, then exhibitors are in for a bumper show,” says Low.
Low points out that not only will a presence at A-OSH EXPO 2016 provide exhibitors with an invaluable branding tool, but companies can also leverage a number of sponsorship opportunities which result in extended brand awareness. “Our sales team can discuss the best sponsorship option for an exhibitor, centred on their specific marketing goals and budgetary constraints. Based on feedback from previous A-OSH EXPO sponsors, this is definitely an opportunity worth pursuing for companies intent on increasing their customer database and footprint.”
Endorsement of the exhibition by a number of industry associations, including the Institute for Working at Height (IWH), IOSM, Nebosh, FPASA, NOSHEBO, the Safety First Association, SAIOH, Sapema and SAIOSH is testament to the solid reputation of A-OSH EXPO.
“We are very excited about A-OSH EXPO 2016 and in addition to our aggressive marketing campaign bringing in a large number of South African visitors, we have already been in communication with a number of African embassies who have expressed a firm interest in promoting the exhibition to their countries’ business fraternities,” adds Low.
